Profile Creation
Learn how to set up and fill out your profile before installing edge applications.
Before installing the edge applications, users must create and complete their profile. Without a completed profile:
- Edge applications cannot send data to the cloud.
- Users cannot visualize analyses or other data.
The profile setup includes three tabs:
- Account
- VDA Settings
- Company
1. Account
Fill out your account details to personalize your profile and email communications.

2. VDA Settings
These settings are used for VDA visualization and MQTT communication. Ensure accurate configuration for the system to function correctly.

| Mqtt Protocol | ws | Select the MQTT protocol. Use ws or wss as browsers do not support standard MQTT protocols. |
| Websocket Protocol | ws | Similar to MQTT Protocol. Ensure WebSocket is enabled in your MQTT broker configuration. |
| VDA Interface | uagv | The first part of the MQTT topic: interface/major_version/manufacturer/robot_id. |
| Mqtt Address | localhost | The address for the MQTT broker. |
| Middleman Address | localhost | The address where the Middleman application runs on your local network. |
| Mqtt Port | 14520 | The port for MQTT communication. |
| Mqtt Username | your_username | The MQTT username, required if your broker enforces authentication. |
| Mqtt Password | your_password | The MQTT password, required if your broker enforces authentication. |
3. Company
Each account must be associated with a company. Without a company, the profile remains incomplete, and visualization features will be unavailable.

Why Company Information is Required?
The company serves as the backbone for data organization and visualization. If a company is not created:
- The profile is considered incomplete.
- Users will not be able to access dashboards or visualizations.

- Log in to your dashboard at advtool.one to begin visualizing your data.
